Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bahawalpur Division (WCCIB) is operating in Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan Division. Its aim is to provide a network linkage of women of these divisions to interact with each other and improve their standard of living through their creative and hard work. Its focus is on effective leadership of these energetic and business minded women to ensure successful trading activities in South Punjab region. This region itself is most underdeveloped and under privileged area of Pakistan. It is ragged as one of the lowest area as per World Bank latest National poverty index. Women entrepreneur based in this region are mostly home based workers who have to face challenges of cultural and social incompatibilities along with being an important livelihood earner. WCCIB following its inception had to work on multiple dimensions to develop a hybrid model that offers sustainability and relevance to needs of women entrepreneursIt is registered with the Directorate General Trade Associations, Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan.
